I run a busy and dedicated psychotherapist and counseling practice in North Dublin, specializing in person-centered therapy (PCT) and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). With a strong influence from choice theory, I provide a safe space for individuals to navigate life’s challenges.
At This is Us Therapy the mission is to create a warm and safe space for all clients to share and be met where they are at each session. As our name states, “This is Us”, and here I will work towards helping explore areas of life that may be causing some concern.
The vision is to provide a safe space where people can come and be heard, for them to be met with compassion and empathy in a nonjudgmental environment.
According to Carl Rogers, when a person is accepted in a positive and non-judgement capacity of who and where they are at that time, it assists in growth, through the process of valuing themselves a little more. This allows improving self-esteem, acceptance of themselves and those relationships in their lives.
I graduated from PCI college, with an honors degree in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2023. I am a fully qualified therapist working towards my accreditation with the IACP (Irish Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I work with a clinical supervisor on a regular basis attending supervision ensures best practice and integrity of my services.
My style from which I work, comes from a humanistic approach, within the person-centered philosophy, meeting the client where they are on each session, with the implication of other modalities such as CBT, Gestalt and psychodynamic style depending on the client’s needs presented.
Having done my own journey in therapy I was inspired to create my own journal.
